Ian & Christine

Christine:

Hi, my name is Christine, my husband is Ian. I have been with Platinum for about 12 or 13 years, Ian has been with them for nearly 7 years. We’ve had two advisers, we’ve had Alan Tolson who has since retired and now we’re with Jonathan Scott.

I got in touch with Platinum, because my mother had left me some money, a small amount of money in her will, and I wanted it invested.

I heard about Platinum through my trade union because I had never had any dealings with any financial advisers, so my union actually recommended Platinum.

I work with Platinum because they always treated me very well; you sometimes get the impression that finance and investment isn’t really for ordinary people but from the admin staff right up to the advisers, they have been absolutely fantastic, really down to earth and helpful. You just feel that you have a very personal relationship with your adviser, which is lovely.

Ian:

We’ve been able to release a bit of money to buy certain things, I bought a lovely car, we’ve been away on lovely holidays; holidays we would never ever have dreamt of, all because the money was carefully looked after.

Platinum are a very caring company. I’ve recently had a health scare, and Jonathan has been very helpful in looking after us, especially with our finances and making sure that we’re looked after.

Christine:

I feel very secure for both of our futures. And it’s very important that when you’re coming into this stage of your life you don’t have huge financial worries.

Ian:

Platinum have taken my pension, and they’ve increased the value of it by quite a large amount. With a private pension, it’s based around everybody rather than an individual whereas Platinum is based around the individual, which is better for me personally.

Christine:

The three words I would use to describe Platinum are professional, caring, and reassuring.

Ian:

The best thing about working with Platinum is they always keep in contact. They always let us know if there are any difficulties going on in the world and how it affects our investments.

Christine:

I just think they’re an absolutely fantastic organisation; right from the receptionist up to the financial advisers. We have had such a positive experience with Platinum, that it really is the best thing that we have done.

Ian:

The best piece of advice the Platinum gave me was to lift my private pension and for them to invest it for me. The dividends have been far far better and have enabled us to live a better life.

Christine:
